Summary:1488643 Isoleucomycin As TOYO JOZO KK 13 July 1976 [15 July 1975] 29071/76 Heading C2C Novel isoleucomycin A 5 of the formula and pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salts thereof are prepared by allyl rearrangement of leucomycin A 5 or a water-soluble salt thereof in the presence of an acid catalyst in an aqueous medium, followed optionally by salification. Pharmaceutical compositions having antibacterial activity comprise, as active ingredient, isoleucomycin A 5 and/or at least one pharmacologically acceptable acid addition salt thereof, in admixture with a solid or liquid pharmaceutical diluent or carrier.
