Summary:The drainage gutter is built into the ground, to enable water to run off from roads and has a covering grille above a gutter base. It is made up from sections, and has side walls strong enough to bear heavy loading. The sections have a horizontal top edge and an inclined base, the gutter comprises a composite component forming the top ede and two side walls (1, 2) and a gutter component (10) which can be set into this. The composite component is a U-shaped box, fitted for insertion of retaining units for the gutter component at varying heights. It may be of thin-walled plastic, with fittings (4) for support of the top edge on an external support and it may be embedded in concrete.
