Carbamates of formula (I): (where R' is 1-4C alkyl, phenyl, or a 3-5 C heterocyclic residue with 1-2 hetero atoms selected from N, O and S, the heterocyclic residue being opt. mono- or di-substd. by 1-4C alkyl; R2 is di(1-4C alkyl)amino, di(1-4C alkyl)-amino-(1-2C Alkyl), or one of the residues listed for R1; or NR1R2 is pyrrolidino, (1-4C alkyl)-pyrrolidino, piperidino, (1-4C alkyl)-piperidino, N-(1-4C alkyl)piperazino, N-phenylpiperazino, N-benzylpiperazino, N(1-4C alkoxycarbonyl)piperazino, N-/mono- or di(1-2C alkyl)carbamoyl/piperazino, morpholino or 3,5-dimethyl-5-carbomethoxy-methylpyrazolinyl; R3 and R4 are H or 1-4C alkyl; R5 is 1-4C alkyl or 1-4C aloxymethyl; and R6 is H or one of the residues listed for R5), e.g. 3-methyl-5-pyrrolidinophenyl N-methylcarbamate, are new cpds. (I) have a repellant and antifeedant actoin against arthropods (insects, mites) and birds and can be used for protecting seeds and plants againt eating by birds and insects and protecting humans against insect stings.
