Y1 Y2 are H, hydroxymethyl, 1-4C alkyl. Z is -CH=Ch cis or trans, phenylene substd by A and B which are H, COCH or a free valency, D1 is H, hydroxymethyl. D2 is H, OH provided one of D1 D2 is OH or hydroxymethyl. Q is -OCO- or -O-. R is 4-8C alkyl or =17C unsatd. hydrocarbyl n q and t are 0 or 1; p is 1 or 2; m is 1-5. Pref. diesters (I) where X is H. n=0. D1 is H. D2 is OH. P = 1. Q is -OCO-. t is 1. R is -C(R1R2R3) where R1 is Ch3. R2R3 lower alkyl. Z is -(ch2)7 or phenylene. The above where m = 1. Y1 Y2 are both H or H, CH3 and with m = 2. Y1 Y2 both H or H1 OH. The polyisocyanate is pref. blocked, specifically DESMODURN (RTM). Used for automiboile and furniture coatings etc. Give hard, flexible coatings and very little organic solvent is required for coating. |
