Summary: | An a.c. input supplies a transformer primary with three separate secondary coils. The first of these is connected through plugs and sockets to a condenser loading circuit of the ignition system. The second one supplies an impulse generator whose output is connected through plugs and sockets to either gate electrode of the electronic switching circuit of the ignition system. The third secondary feeds a full wave rectifier whose output is connected to one of the windings of the permanent magner generator. A constant ammeter reading is obtained for each intact oil. The instrument is contained in a console with push buttons and indicators and with outgoing leads terminating in plugs for connection to the mains and to the test system. |
