Summary: | The switch comprises a pair of contacts (7, 8) each consisting of a base plate (12) and cap (11). The plate consists of an outer ring and an inner disc (13) separated by a glass ring (14). A magnetic armature (15) is attached via a conducting spring (16) to the cap. The inner base plate sections have magnetic stampings (27). A permanent magnet (17) is fitted with a shunt (28), one arm of which is permanently fixed to one magnet pole and to the outer section of one of the contacts (8). A movable flux conductor plate (31) is associated with the other arm of the shunt. In one position (1) the flux conductor couples the other pole of the magnet to the outer section of the contact (7) and completes the magnetic circuit, causing the armatures to pull in. |
