Summary:The formers for twin coils of U-core electromagnets permit continuous winding of both formers in series and provide for turning into the working position an unambiguous correlation between the two by winding interconnected coils. This is achieved by joining the two formers with each other at a flange by ribbons acting as a hinge. Winding wire recesses are provided on the formers. The wire-connection recesses bring the wires from one former to the other in the region of the rotation axis. At one former flange wire wrap-round points are provided. The advantage of the arrangement lies in the continuous winding facility of both formers in series and in the turning facility of one former into the working position using the winding wire as interconnection between the two coils.
