Summary:The formers for twin coils of U-core electro-magnets permit continuous winding of both formers in series and by turning the two formers from their winding position into the final working position an unambiguous correlation between the two individual coils is secured without breaking the electrical interconnection. This is achieved by providing at a flange of each individual former reciprocal and complementing openings and hooklike extensions. Opening of one former and hooklike extension of the other matching the opening in cross-section, can form a hinge joint. At the opposite flange there can be a locating rim on one former and a matching trough on the other for the purpose of fixing in the working position.
