Laminate of thermoplastics bonded to incompatible material - with layer contg. styrene-diene block and statistical co-polymers
In a laminate with >=3 layers, A, B and C, in which layer A of a thermoplastic material is bonded to layer C, which does not adhere to this, with an adhesion promoting layer B, differing from layer A, layer B contains 10-90 (wt.)% opt. hydrogenated block copolymer of styrene and a diolefin, 90-10...

Summary: | In a laminate with >=3 layers, A, B and C, in which layer A of a thermoplastic material is bonded to layer C, which does not adhere to this, with an adhesion promoting layer B, differing from layer A, layer B contains 10-90 (wt.)% opt. hydrogenated block copolymer of styrene and a diolefin, 90-10% statistical copolymer of styrene and a diolefin, 0-40% thermoplastic material(s), 0-20% inorg. filler and 0-30% polymeric lubricant. The laminate is used in various fields, e.g. as laminated packaging films, esp. for foodstuffs and pharmaceuticals, as structural elements in the refrigerator and furniture industries or for the prodn. of deep drawn parts, e.g. for menu trays for ready-prepd. dishes. The adhesion promoter is cheap and has good thermoplastic processability and excellent adhesive props. |
