Summary:Conveyor for cigarettes, cigars or filters parallel to their axes receives them in receptacles and positively guides them along a curved path on which gearing varies the speed in dependence on location, and for delivery perpendicularly of their axes. A receptacle carier is rotatable about its mid-axis for transporting the articles, with a constant r.p.m. drive connected to it via a reduction gearing which varies its angular speed at least once per revolution. Pref. the reduction unit consits of a driver bolt attached to teh drive, with a rotatable lever mounted on it, with one end rotatably mounted on the carrier and the other guided in a control cam displacing in the deceleration or acceleration direction, on the receptacle carrier. Precise forwarding is obtained.
