Summary:The coupling has two flanges, one mounted on each shaft end. The flanges have axial protrusions or claws along the circumference. The claws are recessed along approx. half their length. Those on one flange along the outside and those on the other along the inside. The claws of one flange fit between those of the other. Damping elements fitted between adjacent claws in the assembly are interconnected by strips to make them into one unit. The width of the interconnecting strips is approx. equal to the width of the recesses on the claws. The connecting strips between the damping elements are located alternately at the inner and outer edge.
