Summary:1378649 Bleaching composition KAO SOAP CO Ltd 7 Dec 1971 [9 Dec 1970] 56745/71 Heading C3R [Also in Divisions C5 and D1] A cleaning and bleaching composition comprises a surfactant of formula wherein R is alkyl (8-22C), n is 1-40, m is 1 or 2 and M is an alkali metal, an alkali metal hypochlorite and an alkaline substance dissolved in water; the composition containing less than 1/ 10 mol. of alkali metal chloride per mol. of hypochlorite and 0À5-13% by weight of hypochlorite, calculated on the basis of the available chlorine. Specified alkaline substances are alkali metal hydroxides, carbonates, orthophosphates and metasilicates.
