Summary:In a fuel injection pump in which the fuel quantities delivered for injection are controlled by bypassing one part of the fuel from the pump work chamber during the pressure strokes of the pump piston by a control edge of a slidable member that controls a bypass channel in an rpm-dependent manner, for reducing the delivered fuel quantities in the low rpm range at any load condition, said bypass channel is first opened by a throttle and subsequently opened by said control edge.
