Summary:A device for transmitting electrical energy from a stationary conductor to a moving load. The load comprises an electrical circuit which is engageable with the stationary conductor to draw power from the electrical conductor. The electrical circuit comprises a current collector which moves in close proximity to the electrical conductor and an electrical arc is formed between the electrical conductor and the current collector. The electrical arc is moved continuously relative to the moving load and to the stationary conductor by the blow field of an electromagnet.
