Chimney casing stone round inside tube grouts insulating body into stone in areas round stone periphery using grouting channels inserted into stone

The insulating layer consists of a prefabricated body (4) which is inserted in the casing stone (1) and joined to this (1) in areas (5) round the periphery and over the height of the stone (1) by an inserted and solidified grout mass (10). Channels (8,11) along the inside of the stone and/or the out...

Summary:The insulating layer consists of a prefabricated body (4) which is inserted in the casing stone (1) and joined to this (1) in areas (5) round the periphery and over the height of the stone (1) by an inserted and solidified grout mass (10). Channels (8,11) along the inside of the stone and/or the outside (9) of the insulating body (4) define the grouting channels (12) with areas (5) once the body (4) is installed in the stone. An air gap (13) of 10 mm is left between the body exterior (9) and the stone inside surface (3) between the specified areas (5). Viewed in section, the peripheral shapes of the body exterior (9) and the inside face of the stone are so arranged that these surfaces define the areas (5) and close up into contact with one another (9,3). To achieve this close contact, the radii of curvature of the insulating body (4) are in each case smaller than those of the stone inside face (3). The inside radius of the stone can be infinitely flat where it defines the connection areas (5).
