Converting hydrocarbons in fuel gas into hydrogen
Process for converting hydrocarbons contained in crude fuel gas into hydrogen comprises: (a) feeding the fuel gas into a conversion apparatus (34) having a number of conversion reaction units (80, 82, 84); (b) establishing the flow of the conversion reaction in each of the reaction units; (c) feedin...

Summary: | Process for converting hydrocarbons contained in crude fuel gas into hydrogen comprises: (a) feeding the fuel gas into a conversion apparatus (34) having a number of conversion reaction units (80, 82, 84); (b) establishing the flow of the conversion reaction in each of the reaction units; (c) feeding oxygen to each unit to produce an exothermic oxidation reaction and using heat produced by the oxidation reaction for the conversion reaction; and (d) regulating the amount of oxygen fed to each reaction unit based on the flow of the conversion reaction. |
