Verfahren zum Sterilisieren von Verpackungen

The invention relates to a method for sterilising packages (22) by means of a liquid sterilising agent (9) containing peracetic acid at a concentration of between 0.1 % and 1.5 %. The sterilising agent wets the surfaces (22) to be sterilised, kills off the bacterial spores and is then removed. To be...

Summary:The invention relates to a method for sterilising packages (22) by means of a liquid sterilising agent (9) containing peracetic acid at a concentration of between 0.1 % and 1.5 %. The sterilising agent wets the surfaces (22) to be sterilised, kills off the bacterial spores and is then removed. To be able to sterilise the packages (22) in less than 2 minutes and if possible by heating the packages only little, preferably by less than 10 DEG C, the invention provides for the sterilising agent (9) to be atomized into an air current (in 6), for the mist (18) to be heated to a temperature of between 25 DEG C and 80 DEG C by the input of heat (in 12) and, using the air as a vector, to be blown in the gas phase (13, 19, 25) onto the surface (22) to be sterilised which has a temperature of between 10 DEG C and 30 DEG C so that the condensable constituents of the gas are able to condense on said surfaces (22).
