Summary:The invention relates to diisopropyl fluorophosphatase (enzyme classification EC 3.1.8.2.) from Loligo vulgaris and to the base sequence which codes the enzyme. The invention also relates to the additional vectors which contain the inventive DNA sequence and to the cells transformed with the inventive base sequence. The invention provides a method for producing the diisopropyl fluorophosphatase which uses inventive transformed cells. The invention further relates to different uses and areas of application of the DFPase, especially in the decontamination of contaminated habitats, the production of medicaments for treating or detoxifying humans and animals, waterproofing of clothing and use in analytical chemistry.
