Summary:The arrangement supports a vibrating arm (1a,1b,1c) such that it can vibrate. The arm has free ends and a vibrator (1) with a base end (1B). The arrangement has a carrier (6) which supports the vibrator (1) at its base end. The carrier (6) has a flat holding part to which at least one of the flat sides of the vibrator base end is fixed in flat surface contact. The carrier (6) also has a support foot connected to the flat holding part and fixed to a circuit board or wiring plate (7). Preferably, the flat holding part and the support foot are made of conductive material. A drive device for driving the arm to oscillate or vibrate, or electrodes of equal potential may be electrically connected to the flat part to electrically connect the electrodes via the flat part and the foot to a circuit on the board (7).
