Polypropylene material with an improved balance of properties
Polypropylene (PP) material (I) containing (1) 20-95 wt%stereo-regular PP and (2) 5-80 wt% alpha -olefin copolymer, in which the PP component (1) shows (a) an isotactic pentad (mmmm) of 0.940-0.995, (b) a syndiotactic pentad (rrrr) of 0-0.01, (c) a variable or different bonding of 0-0.10 mol% due to...

Summary: | Polypropylene (PP) material (I) containing (1) 20-95 wt%stereo-regular PP and (2) 5-80 wt% alpha -olefin copolymer, in which the PP component (1) shows (a) an isotactic pentad (mmmm) of 0.940-0.995, (b) a syndiotactic pentad (rrrr) of 0-0.01, (c) a variable or different bonding of 0-0.10 mol% due to 2,1- and 1,3- insertion of propylene monomer, (d) an average mol. wt. (Mw) of 50,000-1,000,000 and (e) a mol. wt. ratio (Mw/Mn) of 1.5-3.8 (all as determined by C-NMR analysis), and copolymer (2) contains 10-90 wt% alpha -olefin and 10-90 wt% other alpha -olefin(s). Also claimed is a moulded product made from (I). |
