Summary:Polyester alcohols (I) are prepared by condensation of: (A) carboxylic acids and/or carboxylic acid derivatives comprising (A1) aromatic and/or araliphatic carboxylic acids having at least 2 carboxyl groups and/or derivatized carboxyl groups (A2) aliphatic multifunctional carboxylic acids having at least 2 carboxyl groups and/or derivatized carboxyl groups and (A3) mono-carboxylic acids and/or mono-carboxylic acid derivatives with; (B) alcohols. Independent claims are included for: (i) a process for the production of polyisocyanate-polyaddition products (II) by reaction of isocyanates with isocyanate reactive compounds, optionally in the presence of propellants, catalysts and/or processing aids and/or additives whereby the isocyanate reactive compound contains (I); and (ii) the polyisocyanate-polyaddition product (II).
