Summary:The pencil has a front chuck to hold a pencil lead and a rear chuck to move it forward. It also has a sleeve (1) with lead storage container (4) connected to the rear chuck (5). An adaptor (3) is fitted to the rear section of the container, and it is axially movable but does not rotate relative to the sleeve. A rotary eraser advance mechanism (12) has a holder (13), which is also locked against rotation relative to the adaptor and is releasably connected to a rear section of the adaptor.
