Summary: | The trolley wheel is made from two halves (2,3), each with a central hub (4,5), a flat outer disc (6,7) and a peripheral rim (8,9), the halves being linked to one another by radial projections (10,11) in the form of spokes. The hubs have outer recesses (12,13) for bearings, and the hubs and rims have interlocking annular projections (14,15; 16,17) on their facing surface for fitting the two halves of the wheel together. The outer surfaces of the rims have teeth (18,19) to grip the inner surface of a solid tyre of an elastomer material. The wheel halves are preferably made by injection of a material like polypropylene, and the tyre can be of material such as polyurethane or a polyolefin. |
