Summary:The three-phase alternator includes a control part which is integrated as an integrated circuit into a control chip and includes a number of connections. A power regulation part is connected over further connections with corresponding connections of the generator, and influences its excitation current. The power regulation part is integrated in a power IC, and control- and power IC are operated as separate chips, which are optimally adjustable at the respective demands and are connected with each other over suitable interfaces. The control chip is bus-capable, especially CAN bus-capable, and comprises corresponding Low and High connections.
