Summary: | Use of a catalyst made of an alloy consisting of at least 90% of three or more of Mn, Ni, Co, Fe and Cu to reductively remove NOx from waste gases is new. The catalyst is heated for 0.05-10 seconds in an O2-containing atmosphere at 120-1000 deg C and then treated in an aqueous solution containing soluble organic compounds, e.g. polyvinyl alcohol, starch and carbonic acids, followed by further thermal treatment at 50-1000 deg C. The NOx-containing waste gas is fed over the catalyst at 150-500 deg C in the presence of reducing media, e.g. NH3, urea, hydrocarbons and CO. |
