Summary:A disinfecting process is disclosed by means of aqueous peroxide compositions prepared by first reacting hydrogen peroxide or a hydrogen peroxide supplier with an N-acyl compound in an alkaline medium, then in a second step by adjusting the pH value of this alkaline solution in a range from 7 to 9. The instruments to be disinfected are deposited in the thus obtained solution of active substances, which has an extraordinarily wide spectrum of activity, including an anti-mycobacterial activity.
