Summary:The connector has a number of pin contacts (25) supported by an insulating housing, a cooperating number of socket contacts supported by a second insulating housing (29) and a pin driver plate (31) with a number of pin reception holes (33) which is reciprocated for driving the contact pins into the respective socket contacts. The pin driver plate has a cam aperture engaged by a cam of a removable setting device fitted to the second insulating housing. Pref. the cam is provided by an eccentric section of a rotatable rod.
