Summary:The appts. to carry molten glass bodies or glass drops, in the prodn. of hollow glass bodies, has a guide (18) of a porous and air permeable material, for a consistent air distribution at the surface in contact with the molten glass. The molten glass drops or the shaped blanks (12,13) taken from the initial shaping machine are carried on an air cushion. The porous material is formed by layers of woven wires (19). The distributor (15) is cooled by an inert gas, such as carbon dioxide or nitrogen, and is lubricated with oil.
