Summary:The car with an engine, a gearbox and a torque transmitter between them has an actuator for the clutch operation and the automatic selection of the gear. This is supplied by a hydraulic unit with a pump, valves and a pressure store. The actuator system has a first region where a proportional valve controls the fluid pressure for switching and a following valve controls the direction, plus a second region where a proportional valve controls the fluid pressure to operate the torque transmission system with a following valve to activate the gear selection. The actuator and the hydraulic unit form a single entity.
