Circular table top as outer ring round inside filler plate

The outer ring (12) is composed of identical segment type elements (11) depending in number on the required table top diameter. Summary:The outer ring (12) is composed of identical segment type elements (11) depending in number on the required table top diameter. Thus one endface of the element (1) is convex and the far endface correspondingly concave so the elements can be joined up via their opposing endfaces, using endface grooves to take the struts of the opposing element in each case. First, the required number of elements are used to form a closed polygonal ring (10), subsequently tensioned by the fitted outer ring (12). The inside of the ring is then chamfered to accept one rim of the filler plate. The diameter of the ring amounts to a whole numbered multiple of the number of segments (11) so that each added segment increases the diameter of the ring by 10 cm.
