Summary:The rotary milling cutter (4) has a thrust piece (8) with first thrust surface (9) projected onto the pivot axle (11) of the milling cutter. The first thrust surface overlaps the corresponding projection of the milling cutter's cutting edge (4a). The first thrust surface adjoins the second thrust surface preferably at a right angle. The thrust piece has a hollow body (14) into which the milling cutter partly protrudes. The hollow body consists of two joined hollow profiles at right angles to each other. At the join, the hollow profiles have cavities for the milling cutter and for the shaft (3) of the milling cutter.
