Summary:There is a bar mechanism on one side of the movable door- or window-frame (1), comprising a central actuating unit (7) and two corner fittings (8,9). The overall working length is adjustable by fine-toothed coupling halves (15) engaging together. There is a short coupling half (16) at each end of the driving rod (12) in the actuating unit, which is engaged in different positions by a long half (17) on the respective corner-fitting rod (13,14). Where there is a parallel covering rail for each rod or bar, the latter can protrude beyond it for the adjustment distance, the rail being cut off as necessary, and the longer coupling halves can also be cut off as necessary.
