Summary:This tube (1) for pressure-operated linear drives is new in its plasticiser-free, thermoplastic polyurethane construction. Its open width is 4-8 times its wall thickness Preferably, a single layer of unplasticised polyurethane is used. Its Shore A hardness is 60-80, preferably 70. A similar two-layer construction has harder polyurethane externally, being 80-90 Shore A. There is an edging strip (3) attached externally. This is inserted into and interlocks with a rail-like track. It takes the form of a circular cord section, attached to the tube by a bridging section.
