The energized state of any one or more of relays R1 to Rn is detected by a current sensitive device A connected by a switch K in response to a scanning pulse I to sense discharge over diodes D1 to Dn of any of the capacitors C1 to Cn the connections to which have been reversed by contacts of the associated relays R1 to Rn. Reversal of any capacitor, consequent on energization of its associated relay, may result in an immediate discharge which is recorded by a bistable circuit the state of which is subsequently detected and reset by a scanning pulse, Fig. 2 (not shown).
