In a printing machine having a forme cylinder 23, an ink forme roller 6 and an axially reciprocable distribution roller 22 a device is provided for adjusting the position of the forme roller 6 relative to the cylinder 23 and the distribution roller 22. The device comprises a swingable holder 1, in the upper part of which is supported a bearing 5, Fig. 2, carrying one end of the roller 6, the lower part of the holder being fixed to one end of a rod 2 which is rotatably supported by an eccentric sleeve 3 which in turn is rotatably mounted in a side wall 4 of the machine. Means are provided for adjusting the angular position of the sleeve in order to adjust the pressure of the roller 6 on the printing plate, and a lever 17 is mounted on the other end of the rod in order to adjust the angular position of the holder such that the roller 6 is adjustable between a plurality of positions, in one of which it is in contact with the forme cylinder 23 and the distribution roller 22 and in another of which it is in contact only with the roller 22.
