Summary:1,230,884. Adhesive polymer compositions. HENKEL & CIE G.m.b.H. 29 Jan., 1969 [1 Feb., 1968], No. 4908/69. Heading C3P. An adhesive crayon comprises a gel of a water-soluble alkali metal or ammonium salt of an aliphatic carboxylic acid having from 8 to 36 carbon atoms in water and/or a watermiscible organic solvent and a water-soluble or water-dispersible adhesive. The components of the crayon are heated to form a homogeneous mixture, which is then poured into moulds or extruded into a rope, which is cut to form crayons. In examples, aqueous gels comprising (a) sodium stearate, polyvinyl pyrrolidone and one or more ingredients selected from glycerine, ethoxylated glucose, alkyd resin and Mg-K-Al silicate or (b) sodium myristate, a vinyl acetatevinyl laurate copolymer, ethanol and glycerine are moulded in glass tubes to form crayons.
