Corrosion inhibiting metal auxiliaries
Corrosion-inhibiting metal auxiliaries with small tendency to foam and based on salts of alkylsulfamido-alkyl carboxylic acids are formed by adding alkalis or water-sol. tert. amines to the free acid so that a 0.5 aq. soln. of the salt has a pH at least 5.0, then 0.01-2.0% hydrazine or salt thereof...

Summary: | Corrosion-inhibiting metal auxiliaries with small tendency to foam and based on salts of alkylsulfamido-alkyl carboxylic acids are formed by adding alkalis or water-sol. tert. amines to the free acid so that a 0.5 aq. soln. of the salt has a pH at least 5.0, then 0.01-2.0% hydrazine or salt thereof and 0.1-2.5% acylating agents are added, and if necessary by further addn. of alkalis or amine a final pH of 6.0-10.0 measured in a 5% aq. soln. of the alkylsulfamidoalkyl carboxylic salt is established. |
