Summary:1,238,223. Break spinning apparatus. ELITEX, ZAVODY TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI, GENERALNI REDITELSTVI. 2 Dec., 1968 [22 Jan., 1968], No. 57036/68. Heading D1D. To facilitate maintainance and cleaning of individual units of a break spinning frame each unit consists of the houses 15, 16 which are normally lockably arranged together but which may be tilted away from each other, one housing 16 being pivotably attached to the frame and the other housing 15 being pivotably mounted at 39 on that housing. Housing 16 contains feed and cambing rollers 8, 5 and the inlet and outlet channels 28, 30 while the other housing 15 contains spinning chamber 3, which may be arranged for axial adjustment therein. Housing 15 has a narrower portion through which the shaft 41 of the spinning chamber extends so that it can be driven by belt pulley 2 or a chain drive common to all the units. Narrower portion of chamber 15 has a pivotably secured lever 45 mounted thereon which automatically limits the amount of relative opening of the housings 15, 16 by its contact with vertical wall 13 of the frame and simultaneously causes pulley 44 of shaft 41 to be brought out of engagement with the drive belt 2. A lock and catch device 47, 48 normally holds the housings 15, 16 lockably together, a sealing element 56 surrounding the spinning chamber engaging projection 36 on housing 16. The catch device is manually released when a sensing device 34 senses that no yarn is passing through channel 30, 33, the device 34 also actuating an electromagnetic clutch in the drive of the feed roller which causes the feed roller to cease to be driven.- For greater access to the housings lever 45 may be manually deflected to disengage the wall 13 so that the housings may be further tilted to a position defined by a stop 49 (see Fig. 6). A spring biased pressure table may be provided in the housing 16, which table is resiliently urged against the feed roller, an entry condenser funnel being formed in the pressure table. Reference has been directed by the Comptroller to Specification 1,084,664.
