[Also in Division C3] A lubricating oil composition comprises at least one luboil and at least one polyalkyl methacrylate which consists of or comprises a copolymer of alkyl methacrylates containing 10-20 carbon atoms in their alkyl groups, said alkyl methacrylates being such that: (1) the average number of carbon atoms of the alkyl groups thereof is between 13À8 and 14-8 and (2) between 10 and 30 molar percentage of the alkyl methacrylates have branched alkyl groups; and (3) the molar percentage of the alkyl methacrylates with an odd number of carbon atoms in their alkyl groups is between 20 and 50.
