[Also in Division C2] Herbicidal pesticidal and defoliant preparations comprise as active ingredient at least one carbamate of the general formula: in which R 1 represents hydrogen or an aliphatic radical, R 2 represents an aliphatic, araliphatic or aromatic radical, R 3 represents a halogen atom, or an alkyl, alkoxy, alkylthio, alkylsulphinyl or alkylsulphonyl residue containing 1 to 4 C atoms or one of the groups OA / -NO 2 , -CN, -SCN, -CHO, -CH---OA', A A A / / / -N---A#, -CO-N-A#, -SO 2 N-A#, (in which A and A' are identical or different and each represents a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group containing 1-4 C atoms and/or a carbalkoxy group), n=0, 1 or 2; R 4 represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic or araliphatic radical, R 5 represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic or aromatic radical and R 6 represents a hydrogen atom or an aliphatic radical which may be linked with the nitrogen atom through oxygen, with the proviso that when R 4 represents a hydrogen atom, the phenolic group should be in p-position relatively to the nitrogen-containing group, together with a suitable carrier. There may also be incorporated one or more of a solvent, an emulsifier a dispersant, an adhesive, a binding agent, a thickener and, if desired, also other known pesticides, herbicides or defoliants.
