Summary: | 1,096,423. Knitting-machines; warp stop motions. ELITEX SDRUZENI PODNIKU TEXTILNIHO STROJIRENSTVI. Jan. 21, 1965 [Jan. 22, 1964], No. 2640/65. Headings DIC and DIE. A warp stop motion for a warp machine comprises a series of pivoted members 5 having hooks 12 or 13 by which they are retained by the yarns 2 in a raised position away from an electrical contact 7. The other electrical contact 6 also supports the members 5 and acts as a pivot point. On failure of a yarn the member 5 drops causing its front inclined edge 14 to wedge itself against the contact 7. The members 5 are supported in recesses 4 of a housing member 3 carrying on its upper surface a rod 17 supporting the warp yarns. A member 15 is adapted to raise the members 5 to enable them to be initially engaged on the warp threads. A perforated tube may be mounted below the housing 3 through which air is blown to blow fluff or lint away from the members 5 so that they are not clogged thereby. |
