Summary:1,149,177. Tractor power lift mechanisms. MASSEY-FERGUSON Inc. 22 Aug., 1966 [23 Aug., 1965], No. 37521/66. Heading A1P. A tractor power lift mechanism having draft control similar to that described in Specification 1,113,681 in which movements in the upper link 10 operate against leaf springs 38 to actuate a lever 118 whose movement is transferred by cam 114 to a lever 68 and thence to a control valve 52 is characterized in that the connection between the upper link 10 and the lever 118 comprises a cam 138 arranged to operate on the lever 118 so that the draft signal transmitted to the control valve is proportionally reduced as the draft links are rotated from their neutral position in response to draft variations. The cam can be made inoperative by turning it through 90 degrees. In an embodiment the cam is associated with pin 116 and is connected to the upper link 10 by a spring biased lever and a chain.
