Summary:1,075,535. Mounting electric motors. LICENTIA PATENT-VERWALTUNGSG.m.b.H. July 9, 1964 [July 9, 1963; Dec. 19, 1963], No. 28304/64. Heading H2A. [Also in Division F2] A fractional horsepower electric motor is mounted in a support by means of a resilient unit so that axial vibrations and torque pulsations are isolated the unit comprising inner and outer polygonal frames 1, 2 which are made of metal or plastics and which are connected together by one or more resilient web-like elements 3-6 which are also made of metal or plastics. The frames 1, 2 and the resilient elements can be integrally formed as one piece of metal or plastics or the resilient elements can be attached to separate frames. When plastics frames are used the resilient elements, in the form of steel springs of wire or laminations, or continuous steel wires of undulating shape, can be cast into the material of the frames. The resilient elements may be curved, rectilinear, or of zigzag formation the type, number, and distribution between the frames determining the spring constant of the unit. The frames may be provided with locating ribs or grooves.
