Summary: | 944,934. Clamping yarns. SCHUBERT .& SALZER MASCHINENFABRIK A. G. Dec. 9, 1960 [March 9, 1960], No. 42429/60. Heading D1C. A method of holding cut thread ends comprises bringing into contact with one another the opening of a suction nozzle and another machine part so that a thread, located across the nozzle, is held therebetween. In Fig. 1 a spring loaded nozzle 1 is lowered to clamp a thread F against a dial 6 so that rotation of the needle cylinder causes the thread to be cut by a cutter 5. In Fig. 2 a thread F on a straight bar machine is brought over a stationary nozzle 1 and a shaft 13 turned so that a spring loaded cap 11 clamps the thread, continued rotation of the shaft 13 causing a cutter 5 to cut the thread. |
