Summary:The invention relates to a solar radiation receiver apparatus (110) for heating a heat transfer medium (210) in a solar thermal power plant (100), comprising a container (200) with an outer wall (206) and an interior (208), a feeding device (300) for delivering the heat transfer medium (210), a discharge device (400) for draining the heat transfer medium (210), and an aperture (416) for admitting solar radiation, the container (200) being rotatable about a rotary shaft (216), and the heat transfer medium (210) forming a heat transfer medium film (212). The container (200) is closed at its first end (202) by a cover (346). The feeding device (300) includes a particle feeder (340) which penetrates the cover (346) inside the rotary shaft (216) of the container (200) and which is designed to feed the heat transfer medium (210) into the interior (208) of the container (200) in a tangential direction onto the inner wall (218) of the container (200).
