Eine Beleuchtungsvorrichtung und eine Bildlesevorrichtung sind dadurch gekennzeichnet, dass sie aufweisen: einen stabförmigen Lichtleiter, der sich in einer Längsrichtung erstreckt und eingerichtet ist, Licht, das von einer Außenseite eintritt, zu leiten und das Licht als lineares Licht von einer Seitenfläche abzugeben; einen Lichtleiterhalteabschnitt, der eine Bohrung aufweist, in die eine Endfläche des Lichtleiters eingesetzt ist; einen Träger, der den Lichtleiterhalteabschnitt entlang der Längsrichtung verschiebbar trägt; und ein Gehäuse, das den Lichtleiter, den Lichtleiterhalteabschnitt und den Träger trägt oder aufnimmt, wobei zumindest der Träger an dem Gehäuse befestigt ist, wobei eine Verschiebungsrichtung des Lichtleiterhalteabschnitts durch einen trägerseitigen konkav-konvexen Abschnitt, der ein trägerseitiger Nutabschnitt oder ein trägerseitiger Vorsprungsabschnitt ist, von denen zumindest einer entlang der Längsrichtung an dem Träger gebildet ist, auf die Längsrichtung beschränkt ist.
