Summary:The invention relates to a device and a method for processing flat, baked intermediate products for the production of baked products that are folded along one or more fold lines, comprising a folding device, wherein said folding device has a receiving surface for receiving and carrying the intermediate products to be processed, wherein the folding device comprises two flap elements, said first flap element being arranged in a swivelable manner in relation to the second flap element, wherein the flap elements have a receiving position for receiving the intermediate products to be processed, in which position the intermediate product to be processed is/can be arranged on the receiving surface in a substantially flat or obtusely bent manner, wherein the flap elements have a folding position, in which the flap elements are swivelled in relation to one another in relation to the receiving position, and in particular swivelled into an acute-angled position, such that the intermediate product to be processed is folded along a first fold line.
