Summary:With a method and a device for the laser structuring of electrodes and functional layers, in a continuous roll-to-roll process, solar modules are separated into individual solar cells and electrically connected to one another. By enlarging the area processed per laser pulse and with strip speeds of a number of metres/s of the flexible carrier film coated singly or multiply with functional materials, a thermally mild structuring is achieved at high process speeds.
