According to the method, the temperature of an outlet surface (22) of the filter element (18) of the particle filter (2) is measured. An independent claim is made for a device for temperature measurement of a particle filter comprising at least a photo-element (28) for spectroscopic measurement of the temperature of an outlet surface of the filter. Die Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren und eine Vorrichtung zur Temperaturmessung an einem Partikelfilter (2), insbesondere an einem Dieselpartikelfilter eines Kraftfahrzeugs bei seiner Regeneration. Es wird vorgeschlagen, die Temperatur einer abströmseitigen Oberfläche (22) eines Filterelements (18) des Partikelfilters (2) mit Hilfe von mindestens einem Photoelement (28) spektrometrisch zu messen.
