Summary: | Outer surfaces for a reservoir (21) for a pressurized substance not facing a hydraulic control unit (HCU) are thermally insulated with a plastic or high-resistance foam casing (29) that stops any quick temperature change on the reservoir from outside. To determine the level of the reservoir reliably from the pressure and temperature of the pressurized substance, the HCU is thermally insulated. An independent claim is also included for a method for operating an electrohydraulic brake unit for motor vehicles.
